A very light mist is all you need to extend open time so you can brush back and forth smoothly and achieve a beautifully even, brush-stroke-free finish. Less is more — adding too much water can dilute mineral pigments and cause streaking.
The mister can also be used to lightly dampen brushes or rollers for better paint flow, and even as a prep tool with diluted TSP Alternative.
